About
A plant lit like a portrait.
Shot against raw plaster with a single source at ninety degrees, so the leaves are read by edge rather than by colour.
The exposure sits deliberately under. Green survives only where the light strikes directly; everywhere else the plant becomes structure.
From a series on domestic subjects photographed with the discipline usually reserved for people.
