Borealis
About
Twenty-two minutes of activity, one frame.
Shot at the peak of a substorm, when the display moved fast enough that a longer exposure would have flattened it into haze.
The ridge is included for scale and left completely black. It gives the light something to be measured against.
From a two-week field record kept at latitude 68, of which this was the only night that produced anything.
